Shadow Oaks Elementary School
SHADOW OAKS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL is one of Spring Branch ISD’s most recent replacement schools. Last summer, staff and students moved to a nearby transition campus while Shadow Oaks was rebuilt on its original site. This replacement school required that a recently constructed classroom building and gymnasium at opposite ends of the campus remain and be incorporated into the new school. In order to preserve the massive oak trees, minimize site disturbance, reuse the two existing buildings and improve traffic flow for parents and buses, it made sense to place the new school back in a similar location to the original. The two existing buildings are repurposed, re-clad and comprehensively integrated into the new design, seamlessly blending old and new.
