Shepherd Middle School Additions and Renovations

Shepherd Middle School Additions and Renovations

Overview

SHEPHERD MIDDLE SCHOOL was made up of 11 buildings, all of which were remains of the original high school. There were significant drainage issues on the campus and the buildings were all in various states of disrepair. In May 2007, Shepherd ISD passed a bond with the primary project being improvements to the facilities at the middle school. It was decided to construct a major two-story addition and to only re-use the three newest buildings. The resulting campus ties all of the buildings together internally and provides a totally new image for the campus. Its location in the heart of Shepherd makes it a new landmark for the community.
