John Gupton Stadium Complex
Taking advantage of the 40 feet of fall across the 44-acre site, the stadium is arranged in a “bowl” setting with the field nestled into the site. The stadium contains extended field lines to also accommodate soccer team practice. Spectators enter into the grandstands at the cross-aisle level and can view the turf field from the concrete lower bowl or the aluminum upper bleachers.
The structure of the press box towers and the outbuildings is a variety of insulated and non-insulated concrete tilt wall. A form-liner was used on the concrete panels to look like stone, which was then stained as the finish.
