Fine Arts Theatre Completion – Texas A&M

Fine Arts Theatre Completion

Overview

THE FINE ARTS THEATRE COMPLETION project involved the finish-out of a shell space in an existing fine and performing arts building. The space was originally planned as an opera lab. The University reprioritized their needs and proceeded with the finish-out project as a first-class 500-seat theatre for drama, dance and musical theatre performance. An orchestra pit and fully flown stage rigging, as well as state-of-the-art audio and theatrical light systems, provide the equipment necessary to support their renowned dance program and attract students for their emerging drama program. On an existing, occupied campus, the project mandated critical planning for student safety and organized scheduling and phasing.
